"Hi! I'm Molly Herring with Expert Village. We're here to talk about how to dry your jeans. You have to be careful with your dryer to make sure that every time that you're going to throw something in a dryer, you have to make sure and check your lint trap and always empty that out. That's usually here in the front of the dryer. You want to go ahead and take it out and just run your hands along here. Clear all of that lint out. Making sure to do this will keep the life of your dryer a lot longer. If you forget to do this for a long period of time, a lot of times the air isn't flowing through there. Your jeans aren't going to get dry, and sometimes it will eventually break down your dryer itself. Always make sure to clean up the lint trap. Once your washing machine is completely finished its cycle, you can go ahead and transfer the jeans from the washing machine to the dryer. For the most part, you could just go ahead and dry all your jeans together in the dryer. If you have jeans that you definitely don't want to shrink at all and you're worried about that, go ahead and throw them in the dryer for about 10 minutes just to soften them up. Then you can take them out from there and go ahead and hang them up. You usually don't want to hang jeans up fresh out of the washing machine because they get kind of crispy. You can throw some fabric softener in the wash cycle with those jeans that you're going to hang up if you're worried about the crispiness of them, or you can go ahead and throw them in the dryer for about 10 minutes, take out, and hang them up from there. That was drying your jeans. Next, we're going to talk about dryer settings."
