"Here are some designs that are a little bit more traditional. What we normally think of when we think of henna. These are normally used for an Indian bride. You see the leaf pattern, a lot of lines and a lot of fill in. these are some other fill in elements. They look very intricate and difficult to do but if you were to begin to take the design apart you’ll see that it’s not difficult to do at all. It’s just a little black and then a lien a line some humps another line a line and some little sixes. And then some fill ins and outlining. It’s not difficult at all; it looks far more intricate than it is. These are very lovely; you really cannot see the beauty of them on the page. The beauty of henna is on the skin. Another book with similar designs that are even more intricate is this one. Again we see a lot of fill-in. very intricate completely filled in, finger tips completely darkened in henna. Henna has been shown to be very good for the nails; strengthening with nails and helping them grow so a lot of times you’ll see fingertips completely covered in henna which is important for women who live in desert climates. Because henna is also a sun block so it will protect their fingertips. Not only is it beautiful but It’s also functional. We can see that this is very intricate very beautiful."
