"So chances are you are not going to have your dreadlocks for ever. Some people do. I think about I had my for four years and I'm very attached to them and can't imagine not having them. But, I know that there is probably going to be a time where for some reason or another I decide I'm ready for a new hairstyle. You have to be ready for it because it is kind of a emotional thing to loose your dreadlocks because you do become attached to them because you put a lot of time and effort into them. You are proud of them and you love them like they're your little babies. They are your little hair babies. You know when you cut them off you might get upset, you might cry a little, that is okay. It is alright because you got this weird emotional thing with your hair. Hair is really important so it is okay. It is okay to be sad, you know? The most important thing is to not cut them off until you are ready. You are going to have to because when you want to not have dreadlocks anymore you can't comb them out. It is impossible. Your hair changes, it fuses together. So you are going to have to cut them, you are going to have to cut your hair pretty short and you can cut it possibly 2-3 inches long, and you could comb some of them out. But you are just going to cut it if you don't want them anymore. It is a tough choice but, if you are ready for it, you are ready. So, you know, say good bye to them. Some people save them. It's like you're in mourning about it, so, you know. So if you want to save them it is not weird. Don't show them to lots of people, you know, "Look at my hair!" That is kind of creepy, but, you know. You could put them in a box or something, or save one and you could always remember when you had your hair, when you had your locks, and think fondly of it. "
