"I'm going to talk about sleep accessories and this is really mostly important when you're first starting your dreads out, before they have matured. After they've matured you could really just sleep however you like. Sleeping, just let them be free. But, when you are first starting out you want to wear a pair of pantyhose and cut the legs off, or you don't have to cut the legs off. You could just kind of keep them hanging off like bunny ears if you want. But, get a pair of pantyhose and put all of your hair up in it, so that it is not rubbing on your pillow, and loosen them up. You could also wear, for instance, a hat like this little hat right here which I'm going to put on, which does not cover my dreads entirely but what it protects is my scalp. When you are sleeping most of the rubbing against is going to be here. So that protects the other vital scalp area which is where the locking up and stuff. So you could wear a wool cap, although not the most comfortable thing, and this cap is actually pretty small on my head. So you could find bigger ones. So yeah, if you want to look extra cool with your winter wear at night you could do that or pantyhose or a dew rag works too, or anything that covers your head and keeps your hair from rubbing on stuff is cool."
