"I'm going to talk about conditioning your dreads. Conditioning your dreads is something that your going to want to do after they have matured to keep them moisturized, to keep them from getting brittle, because when they get dry and brittle they could break. So ... they don't make special conditioning products for your hair because it's generally not recommended. But, it can it does. They do make products that moisturize like leave-in products, but they really don't make conditioners, like a traditional conditioner. So what you are going to want to do is get whatever brand of conditioner that you like and you are probably going to want to thin it out a little bit in your hands. So you're just going to apply, not to your scalp but to the actual dreads. You are just going to squeeze it in like this. Just squeeze it in, and squeeze it in, and kind of work it in there and you've got to work it in really good. You are going to do that and make sure it gets all in there. You leave it in for a little bit and what you are going to want to do is you are going to want to rinse it really, really well. So, however long it takes to rinse like normal hair you are going to rinse it like 5 times longer. You want to make absolutely sure that there is no conditioner residue left in your dreads because that is bad for them and they get icky and gross. And that is also why you don't want to really condition your scalp because that could lead to scuz because the hair's tight so you don't have really a lot of access to your scalp so you could get build up a lot easier. So make sure you rinse completely. You want to make sure that you are totally rinsed: you can't feel anything and if you don't know if you rinsed long enough, just rinse longer to make sure you always want to be on the safer side."
