"Hi I'm Natalie and I'm going to be talking about dreadlocks. So this is a dread comb. It is a very vital to starting out your dreadlocks. It does look awful lot like a dog brush, but I actually got this from, I believe the website was dreadheadhq.com, and it came with a starter kit which it included this brush, some dread wax, which is most of the kinds are made out of beeswax. That helps them lock up. And some spray, some locking accelerator is what they call it, and rubber bands because rubber bands are important for starting dreads. So the reason that you need a metal comb - you don't need it but, it is generally better if you have one - is because it kind of takes a lot of force, because you have to back comb you hair, so it requires force a plastic comb really can't stand up to, and it could possibly break, you can't really get them as tight and once you got a metal a metal brush like this one. You could just go get a dog brush from the pet supply store if you don't have any issues with that because essentially is a dog brush. So that is a very important."
