"Let's talk about types of hair. The way that you do dreadlocks is different for different ethnicities. Mainly for black people as opposed to I guess pretty much any other race and it is basically black people's hair is has a natural propensity towards dreadlocks. So it locks up really quickly, they lock up really nice, they are real clean and pretty. You could actually as opposed to having to actually back comb you could actually twist them and the hair will lock up just from twisting. For white people and you know pretty much Asian people, Hispanic people, pretty much everybody else you have to go through back combing or else the are not going to lock. The straighter your hair is the and if it likes to be real straight like if your say are Native American ,like I'm part Native American, if you are part Native American you hair is super straight & it is going to have more trouble locking up. So if you hair is curlier, kinky that actually helps in the dreading process."
