"Hi. My name is Lefty at 1603 Tattoos in Tampa Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is Tattoo Care. Now, when you're getting your tattoo, you want to be real careful about your environment. A lot of people tend to apply your tattoo with just their skin, their hands, they don't put gloves on, you don't know what they been touching. Once shaving you, you run the risk of being cut, so the last thing you want to do is get an infection. Most tattoo parlors what they try to do is, when they apply your stencil, they, they wear their gloves for sterile purposes and they shave you again, to make sure you're nice and clean, and then prep your stencil. But the products we use are very hospital cleanliness so just to make sure that any shop you go to is very sterile when you do."
