Summary: Learn about using anti-bacterial ointment on new tattoos with expert tattoo care instructions in this free body art video clip.
"Hi, my name is Lefty at 1603 Tattoos in Tampa, Florida. On behalf of Expert Village, this is tattoo care. After you wash your tattoos what you want to do is you want to pat it dry with a towel. You never want to wipe because you're going to risk of pulling off any scabs that might of formed. So just be real careful with that. Now we usually give out ointments. If you don't recommend this for yourself but we don't want to use anything that has a lot of petroleum base products on it because it will suffocate your tattoos, be real careful with that. The amount of ointment that you want to use is just a piece size dab at least three times a day for two days. You don't want to use any more than that cause it will suffocate your tattoos and will make a mess on your clothing and so forth. Also after the two days of using that ointment, you just want to let it breathe a little bit and let it do it's course. Again, don't use anything that is petroleum base and just keep it very clean."
