" Hi! I’m Trish from Healthy Body Massage, in Orlando. You can visit our web page at www.healthybody-massage.com. Today for Expert Village, I’m here to talk about what lymph edema is. There are two different reasons to have lymph edema, one is because of a disease process, the second is because of surgery and the removal of lymph nodes. What happens is with the removal of the lymph nodes or with the disease process the fluid stops moving in one of your distal limbs, your legs or your arms, the fluid needs to be retrained to go to a different set of lymph nodes to relieve the pressure. If you do not go and get treatment for your lymph edema, it will start deteriorating your skin and the muscles beneath it, it can become very enlarged and very unsightly."
