"Hi, I'm Marti on behalf of Expert Village. I'm going to show you how to iron a jacket today. We are going to start with the front panel the ironing board actually has this nose on it and part of that is to help and guiding on the construction of your clothing. In this instance I'm going to iron this portion first so I will lay it down and again make sure my seam is set right. I'm going to take my iron lead it down that seam it helps set the structure of your garment. Which is really the purpose of ironing. I started sewing Barbie clothes when I was about six and my mother was the one who taught me. One of the best tips she ever gave me in sewing was to make sure that you always press your seams. It can make the difference between a piece of clothing looking hand made or professional of course as a child I didn't believe that. Over the years I was determined she was crazy so I'm very good at pressing my seams."
