"Hi my name is Mary Thinnes and I am a skin care expert and I am going to be discussing with you now professional treatments done by licensed professionals in facilities. The first one I am going to talk about is micro derma abrasions. Micro derma abrasions can either be done manually like the one I am going to show you or done with a machine. The difference in the two is that a micro derma abrasion done by a machine is a little more aggressive than one that is done manually. Micro derma abrasions are good exfoliators, they help to break up dead skin cells and they are actually good in conjunction with chemical peels. What chemical peels will do is some will draw out impurities from the skin and actually micro derma abrasions will help to get rid of those dead skin cells and the impurities of what was drawn out from the skin. I will show you how to do a manual micro derma abrasion. After prepping her skin first with cleansing and toning it and doing the papaya this is actually a great seed exfoliating scrub I am going to use and it is a little brown in color. What I am going to do is apply it on her skin and then what I am going to do is let that semi-dry for about 30 seconds to one minute and then I am going to hold her skin taut in certain areas and what I mean by taut is you are going to hold the skin so it does not actually pull and then I am going to massage off the dead skin cells. These little granules comparable to the thin crystals in a micro derma abrasion machine but these are nonaggressive. This is a nonaggressive way to do micro derma abrasion and as you can see it is turning a little bit different in color but what I am going to do in that little area is massage it and it is just going to sloth off and get rid of those dead skin cells. That being said, this is micro derma abrasion."
