Video Transcript

"Okay this is what we call the call area. This is where we wait on the customer. The customer will come in through the front door and we promptly wait on them and usually the customer will come in with a garment and what we will do is we will use one of our invoices. The bigger invoices are for dry cleaning only and the smaller ones are for laundry. When the customer comes in we will ask them for their last name and their first initial because some people do have the last name like 1,000 Miller's you know in this town and we also ask for their phone number in case we have a problem with their garment or need to get it okayed to wet clean or use a special chemical on it to remove a stain. We also date it and we promise it for the next day by four o'clock. Okay what we do is we put down his first initial and the date it is to be picked up and we will hand him a receipt for the order which he can bring back and we can look through our card file here and match the numbers up to his name or we can go by last name too. In the card file it tells us what number on the conveyor that his clothes are. Once he brings his clothes in we will put them in one of our Ogden's Cleaners Bags with the tickets and then we will close the bag up and throw into our mark end counter."
