"Hi, I'm Megan with Elements University on behalf of Expert Village. In this segment I'll be showing you how to properly apply lotion to the arms and hands. So you're going to take your massage lotion, you're going to squeeze a good amount into your hand, because you don't want to have to apply more in the middle of your massage. You're going to take the massage lotion and you're going to heat it up slowly in your hands. You want to do this slowly because if you do it really quick it makes nasty, slappy noises which isn't pleasant for your client. Once it's warm, you start at the top, slide from your elbow down and then to the hand. You take the excess and you put it on the other arm. You're not going to need as much on the second arm, because all the lotion that your skin is going to absorb will already be absorbed by the time that you get to that second arm, so you'll need a little bit less.
