"Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. Today, I'm going to show you how to make a screen print design on a t-shirt. In this next step, we're going to print onto our t-shirt. You?re going to take your board and put the t-shirt over the board. This is probably the most important thing you'll do in this project because the tendency is to print right onto the t-shirt. However, the paint is very strong and it is going to go through the other side. If you print on your shirt without anything in-between then you will get the image on the back of your shirt. It will not print all the way. It will print patchy. You will have a big patchy mess on the back of your shirt. Since you already have paint on your screen print, you don't want to waste too much time doing this. You want to be as quick as you can when you?re preparing your t-shirt to be printed on because the paint does dry very quickly to the screen print box. You want to find the perfect spot to print on. Whatever you do, do not press down. Once you press down, that is where you have to print. If I press down right here, I will get half of a whale design right here. Before you press down, find the perfect spot. Then press down. It's very important once you?re down, not to move the box around because some paint has already gotten on your shirt. You?re going to take your paint and do the exact same thing. Once you've gone over each area, all the paint has gone through. If you have any paint on your hands, make sure you wipe it off. Lift up."
