"Hi, I'm Melina and welcome to Expert Village. In this next step, we're going to calculate how much more of your shorts we have to cut. So, if you just take this piece and you sew it into this open area, what's going to happen is the short is going to try to naturally go back to its old position and it's going to try to close. So, what you have to do is, you have to remove some of this excess fabric. So what we're going to do, we're going to take our shorts and we're going to lay them out flat, like this. We're going to put the triangle over the short and see about how far it comes out from the center of the triangle. And then we're going to cut along this line. Okay."
