"Hi my name is Melisa Brown and we’re doing deep tissue. What I’m going to be doing now is showing you what’s great for runners or athletes or bicyclists, swimmers; this is great for anybody who’s really using their legs a lot. Even somebody who’s not such an athlete, but likes to or needs to get up and down from their seat at work all the time. We’re doing deep tissue and what I’m trying to do is avoid anything that has to do with fingers, so I’m going to do a forearm, I’m turning the hand, I’m turning their foot down towards the other one and with my forearm I’m leaning in and doing the outside of the leg and that feels really wonderful. I’m going very slowly, I’m not going hard over the knee at all, but then I’m going to do the IT band, this is the band that everybody has at the side and its incredibly sore especially for runners and you can just go over that again. Very nice and slowly, I’m going to be doing the top as well and if I want to do even more pressure, I’m going to be pushing down on my wrist and what I’m doing is two things, not only am I pushing more pressure in but I’m also stabilizing my forearm that’s moving up. I’m not going to be using a lot of oil because that makes me glide faster, but just enough oil to keep me gliding. There’s a wonderful pressure point right here in the middle of the thigh, right on top, I’m putting both….I’m doing a double thumb press, pressing down and then I’m going to stay there for about 4 to 7 seconds, you want to see the runner hit the roof, keep on going deeper.
