"Talking about deep tissue massage I am going to be using my thumbs now. I am not going to be bending them so much back, a lot of people cannot bend more than there and that is fine. If you do not have nails which I am suggesting that you do not, your nails should not be any taller or any longer than the tip of your finger. I am going to be leaning in directly. On our clavicle we have two points like this on each side, right, this is our clavicle. I am going to be going right in between, say we are going to do one – two and three, and four – five and six. So I am going in between the clavicle, there is a lot of good meat in there that is great to relieving the neck problems. So all I am doing is I am keeping my feet together, I am keeping my fingers together and I am leaning in with my whole body. I am not pushing in with my shoulders or with my elbows. I might even put my elbows on my hips because that will help me keep it safe and in one motion. All I am doing is leaning in and I am just staying there and I can count until like 10 seconds and keep it that way. And then, I will very lightly when I am coming out I am circling just to say goodbye to the tissue and then I am leaning in, I am moving in a little bit more towards the neck and I am leaning in. my feet are the ones that are pushing me here, not my shoulders and lean out and then circle as you come out. See you in the next segment. "

on 9/11/2008 This is really interesting, how one can manipulate and bring about healing with our hands. Could you tell me how to do deep tissue massage for an ankle sprain that has healed but still continues to have swelling. There is no pain, just slight swelling which has not gone even after 6 or 7 months. Thank you, Rama ananth
