"We’re going to be working on the IT band to do a little bit more deep tissue massage, what I’m going to be showing you is we can go on the side, I’ve got my elbow on my hip that way it’s going to give me a little bit more stability and I’m just basically going to be holding the inside of the knee. I don’t want to hold the inside of the thigh, I want to hold the inside of the knee to stabilize the leg a bit and I’m going to be pushing with my hand all the way up. Now you go very, very slow and they’re going to feel that very, very deep. Another way to get a good pressure into releasing this IT band is just going up and then just pressuring right in the middle of that IT band there on the side and I’m pressuring once again, you can see it coming in from my elbow, my hip is what’s actually doing the motion to go in there and I’m saving a lot of my thumbs that way too. And just giving that pressure right there. That’s going to be very, very tender for the runners. Now if I really wanted to use tools, I could use the head of this and I can do the same thing, with the same motion, I’m going to be pushing in. now I can use that same thing going around, the same tool I can be using it to go up and down the thighs.
