"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida and today I'm going to teach you how to relax color treated hair. I'm still doing her hair here and doing the roots. The roots only but let me explain to you that there are other types of hair that you would be relaxing. While I'm processing this customer here, I'm going to tell you about different types of hair to relax and also how to relax virgin hair if you where doing it. So if you were to relax virgin hair for example, you would not just do the root. What you would do is apply the relaxer from this area to this area here. From here to here leaving out a little bit of the roots and leaving out a little bit of the ends. So again if it was a virgin relaxer, you don't want to touch the roots so nearly cause that is going to process a little faster. It is normal there. You have more heat and you know what you just don't apply that virgin relaxer like that you would just apply it on what we call the hair shaft. So you would take it apply it from to here leaving out those ends. Also the ends are poorest, so you don't want to ruin the ends. "
