"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Liz Muller from Liz's Hair Design in Hollywood, Florida and today I'm going to teach you how to relax color treated hair. For people who are first beginning to use relaxer and do them more often, you know they don't do it often, I want them to actually divide the hair in 4's especially if they have a lot of hair like this client here. She has a lot of hair. Try not to comb the scalp, try not to hurt her because if you comb the scalp you are going to cause abrasions on the scalp and you are going to cause her to have a problem. It is going to burn, the relaxer is going to leak on that scalp and burn her. So I'm going to divide it in 4s and if you are more comfortable you know hers just separates like this and it is very easy to apply. But if you would like what you can do is pin sections, pin section if you are first starting. Don't be ashame to pin them. If you are not use to basing or doing a relaxer, you may want to put the hair up like this and pin, pin it down. I'm not going to pin this down I'm going to start over here and I'm going to show you. You don't have to use a comb you are just going to use the tip."
