"Now our tortilla strips have been cooking in the oven for about 10-15 minutes, and we're going to check on them to see if they're ready. One of the things you can do to check to see if they're ready is just kind of pull them apart. They've got a nice dark brown color to them on some of them and they're nice and crunchy and hard, and that's what you want. I see that some of them are still a little white and that's okay. Different textures are great for this. Don't worry about it if they're not all perfectly brown. The key is these do burn so you want to make sure you pull them out before they burn. That is the last of our garnishes. We're going to set these over here so that we can complete our meal. "
