"First we're start with an eyeshadow primer. This helps the eyeshadow stay on, makes the color brighter, and just makes my job a little bit easier. Today we're just going to use a neutral, white color so that it can go underneath anything. And we use a concealer brush to apply this, to make it a little bit easier. And we're just going to put it all over her entire lid, so that later we can put the colors we want on there. If you're going to be using just one color all over, you might want to find a primer that has that color in it, because it will just make it a little bit brighter. But since we're going to be using a variety of colors, we're just going to use this neutral color so that it doesn't change the pigment in any of the shadows that we use. And you want to get it nice and even so that there are no clumps or creases. Get it all smoothed out. I also like to put it in the corner of the eye because I will be using that part of it. Then... if you could look up for me... I also like to put it underneath the eye. And you want to let your model know that it is okay to blink. It's natural. And I am also going to extend this out just a little bit further on the sides, because we are going to be putting color all the way out. One final smooth over and we're ready to move on to our colors. "
