"Hi my name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village I am here to discuss short curly locks with you. We are going to start by kind of forming the front of her hair and getting some of the smoothness that we have already created into place. I am going to grab some pins and come to this side of her. We have already kind of brushed the hair going this way and we want to start forming where we are going to go. In this front section I am literally going to just take some of those curls and pin them and you can see how I said what we are trying to do is to create that volume and how the ends are just going to play into that flip. That is just going to add to her style. You are going to grab the pieces of hair that you want back. You can flip them and on this section now I can if I wanted to, clip almost creating a half barrel curl and really getting into that hair, just to really fill in any kind of gaps. On your side you are going to want to split because again you do not have much hair to work with since your hair is on the shorter side. You are going to flip that right over and place in your pin. Now you can see if you place your pins in by going down into the hair you will not see and they will be hidden from your everyday style. If you want to leave a few pieces out, you may. Now some of her bang here I feel like I just want to soften this area so I am actually going to just grab these pieces and drag them. We can just go over this section of hair. Now on this section in order to keep those dragged sections in you see I did a bit more of a twist. This is okay because it adds a different way of pinning the hair back. It adds a little bit more of a style to the look and it adds a bit more creativity and uniqueness. Now this back section that we did leave out of her ponytail we are going to use in order to just kind of place them and fill in the gaps in between her hair here and the hair that is in the ponytail. This is why we left it out so that we have a little bit more room to play and we can make her hair fuller. However you are going to want to get those gaps to fill in is how you are going to want to do it. A good way to get those gaps is to get a small hand mirror and while you are placing your updo in the back section you cannot see it so you can use that hand mirror to actually look at the back of your head in your bathroom mirror. That way you can gage where there are holes and where there are not holes. Another good way is to simply just kind of pat the top of it. If there is a hole, you are going to feel it because your finger is going to go down and that is how you begin the front placement of a short hair updo."
