"Hi my name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village, I am here to discuss short straight hairstyles. Another way to get the hair away from your face if you want to and I am going to leave a little bit of bangs because Heather, I do know, likes a little bit of softness around the face is to create almost like hair puffs in the front of your hair. You are going to take the take your tail comb and you are going to zigzag partings. You are going to lift it up, drag the other pieces down. Do it on both sides and as you can see I did it by where her bang is. What this prevents is having any sort of distinct part which will add to the softness and kind of cover some of that. What you are then going to do is twist the hair down and then you are literally going to puff them right back up so they are hair twists with a puff. Then you are going to insert your bobby pin going straight into that twist in order to maintain that height that you have. You can do this creating softness yet a unique style all throughout your hair line. Again you take it and you have your zigzag partings which is literally just taking that tail comb and going back and forth. You are going to do your twists and I am twisting just at the end, not the front because when I push it forward I want to cause that tufting in the front. I am going to pin them in by placing it right into there. You can also do these doing straight partings. The straight partings are going to be a little bit more noticeable because you are not going to have that separation. I am going to twist and puff it out. Now the ones on the side you do not want to get it overly or very round so you are not going to put as much. You pretty much want your volume to be in this crown area. Once you get down here you want it less puffy, to put it lightly and you are going to want to do this side also. Insert that pin. Now you can see the difference between the different tufts. You have this hair here which with the zigzag part it is less noticeable where you see that distinct parting, where this one is very noticeable. Depending on the look that you want to go for will depend on the parting that you use in order to get the puffs. Other than that the twists that you use and the insertion of the bobby pins remains the same."
