"Hi my name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to discuss short strait hairstyles. A good way to get back your hair, especially when your hair is a little bit shorter, is to actually get barrow curls. And I don't mean the curls that you get when you use a curling iron. You can actually set your hair within those barrow curls. If you grab a section of hair, if you pull it forward or back depending on which way you want to go, and this a good way to avoid using that curling iron. And with shorter hair it's easier because it's not as much. You put the spray in, put the hair in between two of your fingers, and you literally just turn it. Once you turn it up you're gonna get this piece which is going to poke straight up your ends. Grab those ends and fold them in, keep going connecting those pieces and then use a bobby pin or a curling pin in order to secure it in. What we are ultimately doing now is setting her hair. Now since I rolled this one going up, what that's gonna do is, it's going to help create a flip to her ends. Now if this top section, if I wanted it to go down and meet that flip, where a lot of woman tend to have the bottom flip up and the top roll down, you're going to again with the hair, spray. They also sell setting motion, so if you wanna do this when your hair is wet it'll also work out. And you can actually create your own rollers and really manipulate the hair into how you want the hair to look. I'm doing larger because we are going with more of a strait look. So I'm doing larger sections with larger barrow curls in order to maintain that strait look when we do take them down. The front of the bangs, you can do the same thing, what you would do with them is you would over direct the root. Keep it more flushed to the head and then really you just want your ends to give kind of that little bit of kick. So I really ultimately just curl the ends. Barrow curls are a very good way to get your hair exactly the way you want it to look without continuously using thermal curled stylers. Although we do have prevention for it, it always is not always the best thing for your hair to continuously use them. So this is just a safer alternative in order to get your desired look. And that is barrow curls."

on 8/6/2008 Interesting tips, but it would be nice if the blonde girl smiled just a little bit more. She has such a pained look on her face the entire time.
