Bang Options for Curly Haired Up-Do

"LAUREN FARRAHER: My name is Lauren, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to talk to you about curly hair updos that you can do at home. Ashley just simply has like a side soft bang, but if she was somebody who had a full bang coming down her face, you do have different options that you can do. If you cannot pin them back to the side where they're going to stay, what you would simply do is when you go through, you would flush them over to the side, take one pin and pin it a little bit closer to the front of the scalp in order to secure those bangs back. Now, you don't see the pin because you're pushing it beneath the already placed hair, however, it is holding that pin--well, it is holding those bangs back so they don't fall flat against your face. If going to the side is not an option for you, another option is to actually lift them and place them going back. And now if you're going to do this, I would recommend doing maybe a little bit of a tuff so that way, it looks as if the bangs are meant to go that way. So you can do the same thing but back, and then push them forward. Spray is also going to be one of your best friends when trying to tame unruly bangs because once those pieces start to pop, you can spray and then literally put your hand on them, give it some pressure going down until that spray dries. And now, the important thing is when you roll off, you don't want to just lift your hand up. You want to roll off going backwards. So that way, it stays. If you just lift your hand up, the bangs are going to be attached to your hand from the spray 'cause your hand will be sticky and will come up with you. You want to put--lay your hand on it and roll. Another option is also just to wear your bangs as you would normally wear your bangs on everyday and maybe add some tendrils around the face. So that way, it's not bangs and then nothing, just pull a few more pieces out."
