"LAUREN FARRAHER: My name is Lauren, and on behalf of Expert Village, I'm here to talk to you about curly hair updos that you can do at home. So the products that you're actually going to need for this, if you have fine straight hair like Ashley does, you're not going to want to use an awful lot of product, especially nothing heavy. Once we get those curls set into place, you're going to want them to stay throughout the day. You're going to use a bit of spray, very lightweight products in order--so that way, as these curls settle into themselves and fall, they don't fall completely out. If you are using your own natural curl for it, you're going to want to add some definition in between those curls. Curling creams, curling waxes, things that'll actually kind of get your tendrils and your curls to stand apart are going to help. If your hair is naturally curly, you will put a bit of it in your hands and create that definition of your curl by simply grabbing pieces of hair using your natural curl to curl them around each other, creating almost ringlets in the hair. If your hair is straight, you will be going into curling irons and pin curls in order to set your hair and prepare your hair for your updo."
