"The next step in prepping the natural nail is to apply your bond aid which is a PH balancing agent. You want to apply this to all ten nails. What the bond aid does is, it just kind of dries the nail out and make sure that there isn't any oils or lotions on the nail itself. You just want to apply this to all ten nails. You're also going to want to apply primer. Acrylic primer acts like a liquid adhesive, and all you're going to do is apply it to the nail itself. You don't want to get it on the skin or the cuticle. If you do, certain primers can actually cause a burning sensation. Not all do, but certain ones. Just want to make sure you get all ten nail beds. If it starts to burn you can use a product called "Stop It". And what it actually does is it stops nail primer burn on contact. It has Aloe Vera in it to soothe and heal irritated tissue. As long as you're not getting it on the skin itself, it shouldn't burn. And that is how you apply the bond aid and the primer to the natural nail."
