"Hi, my name Leslie Moselle, and I'm from Tampa Florida, and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to iron a dress shirt. Chapter six, collar. The first step in ironing a dress shirt, that I like to begin with, is the collar. Most shirts do have the little inserts, the dress shirts that like to keep your collar, the end of your collar at a point. If they don't, that is an area that you really want to concentrate when ironing. You want to concentrate on an area, making sure you get a good iron in that section. I like to begin with one side, and I just spray a light coat of starch, and iron from one side to the other. You can pass over a couple of times if you want. I like to apply a lot of pressure and make sure my iron is on its highest setting. I like to do both sides whenever I iron. I just start with one and I move to the other, applying starch to both ends. The main reason I like to start with the collar is because it's one of those sections that once you iron, will not wrinkle again while you're doing the other sections of the shirt. So that is the main pattern when I'm ironing is I start with the smaller sections, and I work my way to the larger sections, ensuring that I keep my shirt as starched as possible throughout the whole ironing process. There you go. "
