How to Use Makeup Sponges

"Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and I'm from Tampa, Florida, and on behalf of Expert Village I'm going to demonstrate the multiple uses of makeup applicators. Lesson three: the sponge or the wedge. The sponge or the wedge is used to apply your liquid foundation. A lot of people, just like concealer, like to use their hands, but the wedge keeps the oils from your fingers and the dirt from spreading onto your face and you get a cleaner application. Some people like to actually apply their foundation to their face putting like one or two dots of foundation around the face and then apply it. I like to actually pour the foundation onto the wedge and then just put it on. Basically, you just use the wedge to apply your liquid foundation evenly across your face. This assures that you're not getting all your makeup on your fingers and getting it most of it actually on your face. The wedge, because it is a sponge as well, helps to just keep the oil out of your face. That is the main use and purpose of the sponge."
