"Hi, I’m Lillian Garcia with Salon in Scottsdale and on behalf of Expert Village.com I am here to show you the results of my home perm and to tell you a little bit about aftercare that you should know after receiving a home perm. I looked at myself in a mirror after rinsing my hair and I really liked the amount of curl that I got. I did not want a whole lot of curl. I wanted more of a body and that is exactly what I got. After I rinsed my hair, I did use some conditioner and I rinsed that out as well. I towel dried it and I got a wide tooth vet brush and gently brushed through my hair. Then I got some hydro foaming styling foam and I also put a little bit of that in my hair and ran it through and I just kind of worked it with my fingers. I don’t want to disturb the curls a whole lot. I just kind of want to let it dry naturally so that the perm formation could just kind of stay just the way it is. Then I also put some leave-in conditioner; it is always wise to use leave-in conditioner after a perm and you know for weeks to come just so you can have more body and your hair won’t be dry. Also it is recommended that you maybe visit your stylists and have the ends of your hair trimmed off. Like I said before when you are wrapping the perm and you get the end paper and you smooth it on and if you happen to leave some of those fish hooks that we talked about then it will just crimp your hair. If that happens, a little trimming would be best. Then the only other thing is just get all the end papers, cotton, plastic bags and dispose of them outside the house because like I said it does have an odor. Now you can just leave your hair like it is, let it dry naturally or style your hair and that is the result of it. "
