"Hi, I’m Lillian Garcia with Salon in Scottsdale and on behalf of Expert Village.com. I am here to show you a completed wrapped hair ready to put the perm solution on. What I’ve done is I have taken ¼ inch to ½ inch vertical partings for each rod. If you notice, I put all peach colored rods on. I want my hair not quite curly, not too tight but not too loose. On the bangs I do want a loose curl because I like to wear my bangs just with a band so I did choose a larger rod for the bang area. So I am now ready to put the protective cotton. I am going to start on the nape of the neck and I am going to put it around the rods like this to protect the neck, ears and the hairline. This is because the wave solution is very runny and you don’t want to ever get it in your eyes and it is just irritating if you get it in your ears. So that is the basic rod rolling and cotton application before applying the solution. Now it took me about 15 to 20 minutes to put these rods on. Some people it is harder for them to maneuver their fingers especially on the back of their head. So you might want to instruct a friend or let them watch the video on how to properly roll the rods and a friend can help you especially in the back of your head. Now we are ready to apply the solution. "
