"Hi, I’m Lillian Garcia with Salon in Scottsdale and on behalf of Expert Village.com I am ready to give myself a home perm. I am going to show you how to properly roll your hair on the rod. What you are going to want to do is start at the part you left down. You are going to want to smooth the hair; don’t leave any creases or any tangles in the hair. Totally smooth it up. I am going to reach down, get an end paper and I am going to put it on my hair like this and I am going to slide it all the way to the top of my hair passed the edge of my hair so it won’t crimp. If you leave hair sticking out it is called a fish hook and you are not going to get a good curl. I have chosen the larger rod because I don’t want too much curl and I am going to start at the edge and roll it slowly all the way down to the scalp. I am going to fasten it with the rubber band that it comes with into the hole and there is the first rod. I am going to continue down all the way down the center. I will drop the next section down and do the same thing on the rest of the hair. That is how you roll your hair. "
