"Hi! I am Lillian with Salon Scottsdale, and on behalf of Expert Village.com, I am here to talk about what happens next. My timing is complete, so it is time to do a shampoo cap—what you call a shampoo color cap. I have some left over color. So what I am going to do with it is, I am not going to throw it away, I am going to pour about a tablespoon of shampoo in here, mix it up with the left over color, and then I am going to apply it to the ends of my hair. What this does is, it allows the color to blend in to the root area that you’ve colored. That way you won’t have root color dark, and then, the rest of the hair, a band where it shows where you stopped coloring. This way you just apply the color; and just kind of, even, do it with your fingers, and massage it around your head like you would if you were giving yourself a shampoo. Wait 5 maybe 10 minutes, and then you’re ready to shampoo and condition your hair."
