"Hi! My name is Lillian, and on behalf of Expert Village.com, we will continue on talking about protective wear for giving yourself a home color retouch. One of the important things that you’re going to want to have is plastic gloves, to protect your hands from the color. If the color gets on the skin it is really, really hard to wash it off. So you’re going to want to definitely wear a pair of gloves, of disposable plastic gloves, also an old towel and a plastic cape that goes around your shoulder, and you wear the towel over the cape. If you don’t have the plastic cape, it is a good idea just to set aside an old shirt that you don’t mind getting stained with color, and that would do just as well; and just kind of keep that as your home color shirt. A thing that they have come out with are these plastic little nifty little ear coverings. A lot of people, when they do colors at home, could get a little messy, and the color gets into the crevices of your ears, and you just put these around your ears and it protects your ears from getting any color in your ears. So these are the basic things that you will need to protect yourself while you are giving yourself a color."
