" I’m Lillian with expertvillage.com, and I have now completed soaking for 5 minutes my fingers. I will get them out of the wash and I will reapply the cuticle softener to each fingernail. At this point, I will pick up my cuticle pusher and I will use the flat edge, not the pointy edge, but the flat edge to push the cuticles back. I kind of tap the cuticle, the wetness off, but I still have some cuticle softener on there. What I’m going to do is I’m going to gently push back on all around the edges of the nail. You want to be careful to do it gently. You don’t want to damage the nail bed. Just to loosen those cuticles the best you can. As you could see, I’m dipping into the sides here as far as the nail will allow me to put the cuticle pusher there. Push back each cuticle here. As you could see, there’s dead cuticle on the pusher. Then I’m going to turn over the cuticle pusher and clean under the fee edge, which is under the nail and I’m going to follow right along doing the rest of the nails like so. And so now, we’ve got all of our cuticles loosened up at the base of our nail and on the sides of our nail. The next thing that we’re going to do is pick up the nippers and I’ll show you how to do that next."
