"Hi this is Lindsay Colbus from Lindsay Colbus accessories and on behalf of Expert Village today I'm going to show you how to choose a handbag. Many of you may wonder where handbags come from or when it was first invented and actually they go back all the way back to the 5th century where people would take skins from animals and put them together and hang them from a stick. This was mostly used for carrying necessities such as food or anything else they need to carry that was uncomfortable to carry in there hands. As we progress to the 1800 and 1900 handbags really where looking popular, they where really to off. In 1900s icons such as Grace Kelly and Jackie O really popularize the handbags. Even today if you open any magazine you would see countless celebrities with handbags or a hot bag of the season or a Chanel, Gucci, or a Prada or some major stylist fads. Bags today are about statues, they are symbolic to you know high class people and just celebrities and again as I was saying bags are statues symbols. You would see Madonna carrying the latest Chanel bag or Sienna Miller or some major celebrity the Olson's and these bags are such statues symbols that every body wants them. It has got to a point where you can go down to China town in New York City and get a knock off bag with the exact logo, it is literally the same it is called a mere image replica it is how popular these bags have become that everybody is knocking everybody off some everyone could have one.
