"The first thing we're going to do is apply some foundation primer. This is a silicone based product. Silicone is a really great breathable barrier for the skin. It allows oxygen in and out of the follicles so it won't clog the pores. It's also oil-free and it has some oil absorption. So you just want to put a little bit right on the fingertips, and we're just going to apply this using fingertip application all over her face. Basically what this is going to do is it's going to smooth the texture of the skin. It'll minimize the appearance of any pores. Also gives you a little bit of line fill in capabilities, so it'll fill in and soften the appearance of any fine lines and wrinkles so your makeup won't settle in any crevices. It also prevents your makeup from absorbing into the skin, because without a foundation primer, what happens is your makeup has more of a tendency to kind of be sucked into and absorbed into the skin. So throughout the day as you're wearing your makeup it tends to disappear. So wearing foundation primer really helps that from happening. It also will soak up any oily shine so it'll just keep her makeup looking really nice and fresh throughout the day. So that's how you will want to use a foundation primer to keep your makeup looking really great and fresh all day long."
