"I'm Kelli. On behalf of Expert Village, I'm going to show you some tips and techniques that you can use to create a silver and gold holiday look. The first thing that we're going to do before we apply our foundation is we're going to apply some foundation primer. We're going to take this and we're going to pat it over her face. Basically what this is going to do is it's going to smooth the texture of her skin. It's going to soften the appearance of any fine lines or wrinkles. It's going to help to minimize the appearance of any pores. It prevents your makeup from absorbing into the skin, so your foundation will blend better. You'll have more evenness of your color distribution, it'll keep your foundation from changing color, soak up any oily shine, and anything of that nature. So basically, it's going to help your foundation go on a lot better, prevent it from settling in any crevices, and it's also going to keep your makeup fresher throughout the day. That's why it's important to apply a foundation primer before you apply your foundation."
