"So the first thing we're going to do to our eye area is use some eyeshadow primer. This is a translucent liquid. Basically what it does is serves as a magnet for your shadow. So it forms a barrier between the natural oils on the eyelid. So it helps your eyeshadow go on a lot smoother, blend a lot easier. It also prevents it from creasing and caking and it helps it go on with a lot more vibrancy as well. So you don't have to work so hard to get your shadow to show up. I'm just going to pat it on the eyelid. You see it's translucent so it's not adding any color. And we're just going to pat a little bit along the lower lash line as well and this will help if you have problems with mascara or eyeliner always ending up under your eye. This serves as a little bit of a barrier to prevent that from happening as well. So if you want your eye makeup to stay looking fresh and really great all day long, using eye primer, eyeshadow primer, is a really important step. So that's how you would want to apply a shadow primer."
