"Hi, I'm Kendell with Expert Village and we're back and I'm going to show you a couple quick tips for creating a beautiful smoky eye. The first thing that I recommend is using a nice base for your eye shadow. This one is a fantastic cream base and I like this, because the cream actually dries to a powdery finish and as it dries it grabs the eyeshadow and it holds it into place so that it's not going anywhere. So you get a little bit of the cream on the brush, use a nice soft brush like this one and then you just kind of start and you just whisk it on. You don't need a whole lot of this, this is just kind of a nice prep for the eye area. So we just kind of whisk it on, go a little back and forth to make sure it doesn't settle in on any parts of the eye. I like to start on the lid, kind of down near the lash line, kind of blend it back and forth and then take it a little up ward. It's really important to use a cream base also because when you apply eyeshadow directly to the eye as you can see we all have different colors on our eyelid which naturally come through and when you put eyeshadow directly on top of that sometimes the little colors come through and it changes the colors of your eyeshadow. As well of the fact that we all have natural oils in our skin that will cause the eyeshadow to crease up and disappear throughout the day. So this provides us a great base. Just smooth out the color and the texture of the eye. So I'm just kind of whisking this back on. Now, they're actually called paints, they are going to dry down, so I'm going to blend this in as best as we can and make sure that I got it all blended and smooth, but I don't want to take too much time with this because once it dries it dries and then it's going to be difficult for us to blend the powder eyeshadow on top of it."
