How to Buff Acrylic Nails

"Okay, now we have completed the filing of the acrylic with the artificial tip. Now we are going to move over to the cuticle oil and buffing the nail. Starting with my finger, what we are going to do, you take the cuticle oil and what the cuticle oil does you put this around the back side of your nail, don’t spill it. You want to apply it directly back there on the back of the nail and this helps to condition the cuticle. You put it on top of where you have applied the acrylic because whenever we use the buffer block we are going to be going over that. It helps to smooth it. And then what you want to do, you just want to just take your nail and just kind of rub it in the skin. This just helps to smooth, lubricate, soften, the cuticle area. Now what we are going to do, we are going to take the buffer and what the buffer does, it just gives the nail that really finished, clean look, like a natural nail after we have done all of our filing. Kind of just go back and forth. And the buffer is a little bit smoother. It’s not quite as coarse as the files. You want to just kind of go over the edge, go around the sides. And then what we are going to do after you complete that, you take your finger and just kind of smooth it over and it feels really smooth. Okay, do that little edge back there. Feel the edges of the nail, the free edge of the nail. Make sure its smooth too; you have got all the cuticle oil rubbed in. Okay, after you have completed the buffing of the nail, of the acrylic, and do make sure you just follow the steps, you will complete this on all the other nine nails. "
