"My name is Lauren and on behalf of Expert Village I'm here to talk to you about styles on the go. Many women throw their hair up on a ponytail on a daily basis. Especially women with long hair. It gets in their face, it annoys them. I am going to show you a quick way to dress up that ponytail. As you bring your hair back in to a regular standard ponytail, it can be high, it can be low, which ever way you choose to wear it. You are going to lift all of your ends up in to your ponytail. You can use a little hairspray product for smoothing. Your hand will also work in order to kind of finish the smoothing touches. Use your average rubber band. Try to make sure the rubber band does not have metal in it. You want an actual rubber band with no metal. Metal causes breakage because it gets tangled in your hair and it breaks your hair as you go and when you try to pull it out. Just to dress up this everyday ponytail, what you can do, one option is to grab a section of hair from the underneath. Depending on how much you want it to show and how intrakit you want it to look, you may grab once section, about a half of inch. You're going to take that section and what you can do is wrap your hair around and I grab a bobby pin, which every woman should have in their artillery of stuff and you simply lift her hair; do you see that piece which is in the underneath? You are going to open up your bobby pin and insert it going up in to the ponytail. So that way it will stay. Now as you flip our hair back down, you grab one more bobby pin and you place it in the side section in order to get any pieces that are falling out or any unruly hair from layers. What you've done is you have taken the everyday ponytail and dressed it up and made it a little bit more fancy. It now looks as if she wrapped her own hair around in order to keep the ponytail as is. And we'll go in to one more thing before we end for ponytails. Another great way to dress up your updo in ponytail is to section your hair and split in to two and do almost the pigtail look. Your partings do not have to be perfect on this. As you can see I am not really caring as to how the partings are going cause you're not going to notice it so much when all is said and done. After you get your two pigtails in, simply take a little product, use kind of a pomade molding mud. Anything that will smooth those ends a little bit and make it a little bit more manageable. Now you can literally tie the two pigtails together. And take your two bobby pins again; insert them in to the ponytail. That way they held a little bit better and a little bit more secure. You can wrap this around. If you care to you can bring these front pieces or these back pieces together or you can push them up. If the hair is not cooperating and not stay then just insert another bobby pin. Sometimes two bobby pins will work better than one. Depends on the weight of your hair, the length of your hair and the amount of layers. If you go from that side the next one you're going to go from the top section and push down. And that's the way to just kind of take two regular ponytails, it's basically your two minute updo and to make it a little bit fancier in the back so that way you're not just wearing a simple ponytail everyday. You can change it up."
