How to Sew Patch on Shirt Collar

"Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. Okay now we will take our small patch that we just made and put it in behind covering the hold. You can place with a pin and we are going to sew over here just a zigzag to affix the patch to the fabric. You want to use a thread that is going to match your fabric so that you don't see it and you want to be careful that the stitching is not going to be shown when the collar is buttoned. You want to be able to hide it with the collar but you want to make it strong enough so that we can sew a button on that. Okay let's place it under the machine, make sure that it is place and we are going use a zigzag stitch. So I am going to put it all the way on stitch with 4 and a stitch length of probably a half to 1. Okay and we are going to just zigzag over our hole and our patch to hold it in place and then you can reverse. Let's check and see if we've covered our hole and the patch is in place. When we put our collar button on, it won't be showing. "
