"Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. I've sewed all the way around for our patch; just sewing in and out and making it a nice handmade patch. Now I am going to go back in and I want to make some little eyes. I am going to come in through the back and bring my needle up to where I would like to have an eye and just make a few stitches in and out to make our eye. Maybe I'll do like a little x eye and then put over here where you want the other eye. They are just going in and out, nothing fancy. If you have a skill as an embroider, you can do something a little fancier but it is not necessary. Just a little bit of an x or few stitches will be enough to make an eye. Okay and after that we will make a little bit of a mouth and we will be done. Let me show you how to knot this. Just grab a little bit of the fabric and pull until you get a loop. Put your needle through the loop and hold on until you get another loop and then put your needle through that again and pull down and pull it through and that will knot your thread. Now I will take a little red thread that has already been knotted and make a little mouth. Go up through the back so our knot will be on the back and do just a few little stitches, nothing fancy. A few little stitches of red to make a little mouth. And there's our repair with a handmade appliqué patch. "
