"Hi! I'm Karen for Expert Village. Now let's sew our appliqué patch with a sewing machine. You want to make sure that you use a thread that matches the patch and we are going to sew right along the edge of the appliqué. Follow the contours of the appliqué stopping and moving the machine as necessary. It will launder best if you do this instead of just putting straight lines through. You want to follow the contour the best you can of the patch and just go all the way around making sure the fabric of the garment is flat as you are sewing. Now if your thread matches well, you don't have to be too fussy about going in straight lines. You do want to go as close to the edge as possible. In this case I would even sew up the little antennas. Just go very slowly. Just back up a little bit to knot it. There is our repair wiht a ready made appliqué. "
