"In this clip I'm going to talk to you about the different types of scrubs that are out there for retail and some of the misconceptions people have. There's a popular product that uses apricot kernel seeds. I want to tell everyone to stay away from that. It's too aggressive for the face. Any kind of apricot scrub where they're using ground up apricot pits can cut your skin. When you cut the skin, you leave the skin vulnerable for infection, therefore bacteria and God knows what else. So we want to really not, you know, have micro lacerations. If you want to use it on your body, be my guest but the face is so much, you know, it's what you show the world. You want to treat it with respect. Another thing you want to stay away from is any kind of product with menthol in it, especially for using on the face. It's going to really dry the skin out and it's going to exacerbate any kind of flakiness that you're having. Also, parabins. Look on your labels when you go to the counter. Don't just grab it and read the box, really look at the ingredients. If the first and third ingredient is a parabin, put it away."
