"Aloha! I'm Lady K. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about some basic modeling. Lighting is also very important. When choosing a photographer, try to make sure they have a studio and that they have a well lit studio. Natural lighting is always best but if you cannot get natural lighting, studio lighting will work as long as it's soft. The background of your den should either be black, white, or grey, or any shade that is pastel like or darker. Brown, light blue, light pink. Everything is going to be converted into black and white unless you are deciding to do color headshots. Casting directors prefer black and white. So sometimes you might want something where it kind of blends in with you and then you might want something that is completely contrasting. So white sometimes is very bright and it's hard to set yourself inside of it. Sometimes it's best to pick colors that can turn out different shades of grey when turning into black and white. Stays within a 45 degree angle. Do not go too far or else there's that profile picture. Also you want to make sure that you have a very natural smile. Moving a little over you can actually keep your shoulders going from side to side making sure your head is basically in the same position. Crossing your arms also helps to make sure your shoulders stay flat and long. "
