"Aloha! I'm Lady K. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village and I'm here to talk to you about some basic modeling. When modeling for headshots there's many things to take into consideration. First would be your hair. You want it to be very natural. You want it to basically be the way your hair naturally falls. If it's curly make sure it is curly, if it is straight make sure that it is straight. You want to make sure part of it's in the front and then part of it's in the back and it should be even on both sides. Makeup is very important but make sure that it's nothing too dramatic. Make sure that it's very simple makeup. You want a basic base, you want to make sure you powder so it's not too shiny, you want to do a little bit accentuation on the eyes, and a tiny bit on the lips. It's very important not to wear a lot of jewelry. It is very distracting to the camera, very distracting to a casting director. So preferably no jewelry. If anything you can wear little studs but no dangling earrings and no bright necklaces. When picking out clothes for a headshot it's very important to stay on the formal side, but nothing too exaggerated. You want something that's going to be sleeved for women, no tank tops, no strapless. And for men you want a buttoned down solid colored shirt, preferably black to white, any solid in between considering it will be in gray scale. "
